rainy days and mondays always get me down

So it's been raining a lot lately and I'm glad to be home safe and dry. I hope everybody else were too! I don't know if it's just me, but whenever it rains, I feel a little down. Maybe because it's so gloomy outside? Heck, I don't know, all I know is I like hot porridge, a blanket, and a board game to keep me warm. Sadly though, I couldn't play a board game since I was alone at home. :|

 Arroz Caldo literally translates to "Rice Soup", which is basically chicken stock thickened with rice and flavored with ginger and lemon grass. I paired it with buttered pandesal! Perfect merienda (afternoon snack) during the rainy season!

Since I was alone and couldn't find anything to do, I decided to go through my old stuff so I could start disposing things I do not need anymore. And to my surprise, I came across stuff I already forgot about! 

 I'm pretty happy for finding my Betty Boop matryoshka dolls, and they're still complete! :D

 I wish I've got a mini DV camcorder or player so I could watch these! Moments of embarrassment caught on tape, classic!

 

And I found a box full of photos, messages in a bottle, birthday cards, palanca letters and what not. Who knew I was very sentimental? Well, more like mental. :P
